Whitestone Social Club
We were formed over six years ago and currently have 54 members from a diverse range of backgrounds. Members bring along food and drink to share and enjoy a talk given either by a member or by outside speakers, on an interesting and varied range of topics. We also arrange the occasional outside activity like a boat trip, barn dance or a musical evening. Recent talks have ranged from “The History of Dartmoor” to “Home Brewing” but the major part of the evening is usually devoted to eating, drinking and chatting to others. The evenings are always very enjoyable and we have been described as 'rather like a DIY pub'!
If you’d like to come along for one evening to see what it’s like, it's free and you’ll be very welcome. Temporary membership only costs £2.00 per meeting and twelve months full membership of Whitestone Social Club an equally modest £12.00. Club subscriptions pay for the hire of the hall and other expenses, plus a free anniversary dinner for members in March and a sumptuous buffet with mulled wine before Christmas! A bargain really!
We usually meet on the fourth Monday of each month at 7.30pm in Whitestone Parish Hall.

In particular newcomers to Whitestone can get to know people, make new friends and find out what is going on. Most meetings are in Parish hall and start at 7:30 pm but please note any exceptions.
