Whitestone Parish Council
Minutes of Virtual Meeting of the Whitestone Parish Council held on Monday 1st June 2020 via email.
Attendance: Cllrs Belt, Bramhall, Bryant, Fairley, Jones, Lee, Llewelyn, Miles and Thom.
Information regarding the Annual Audit for 2019/20 had been previously sent to Councillors by mail.
- Parish Council accounts for year ended 31st March 2020
The Clerk confirmed completion of the accounts/balance sheet for the year ended 31st March 2020. The closing balance at Nat West Bank at the year end is:-
Current A/c £200.00
Business Reserve A/c 1 £36,546.53
Business Reserve A/c 2 £3,415.60
It was reported that all the necessary paperwork had been examined and an internal audit has been completed by Mr R Cox who reported that they represent a true and fair view of the financial position without exceptions. All financial control methods, systems and procedures are adequate and being followed and adhered to.
- Annual Audit for 2019/20
The Annual Audit Governance statement for 2019/20 was presented to Councillors for authorisation and agreed for presentation and will be duly signed by Cllr Thom as Chairman and the Clerk in her role as Responsible Financial Officer.
- The Annual Audit Accounting Statements for 2019/20 were presented to the meeting for authorisation. It was resolved by the Council that the Annual Governance and Accountability Return statement was approved and this will be signed by Cllr Thom as Chairman and the Clerk in her role as Responsible Financial Officer.
