District Councillor Parrott reported on increases in Teignbridge District Council budget which will be coming before the Council in March and also reported on various planning matters
Refusal of Request for Prior Approval
11.1 24/01883/NPA Application for prior approval under Part 3 Class Q (a) and (b) paragraph W of the GPDO for change of use of one agricultural building to one dwelling house at Barn north of Barton Cottages, Whitestone.
Enforcement updates
11.2 Response from Senior Planning Enforcement Officer, Teignbridge District Council regarding:- Nature of complaint: Business use (MOT & Repairs) at Cross Park Farm, Heath Cross. “”Following your complaint to my department regarding the above matter, we have now received an application for planning permission in respect of this development. You may view the documentation online at ”www.teignbridge.gov./planningonline”. The Council are sending in a response.
11.3 Subject Temporary Track at Hackworthy Farm from Planning Enforcement Officer at Teignbridge District Council - “I note your comments about the works. In this instance as it does not appear the works relate to accessing the field in connection with the agricultural use of the land I believe they may require planning permission. As such I am in the process of contacting the developer to advise them accordingly. However, it should be noted that a planning application has been submitted for a new access route but this has not yet been validated. Once it has been validated you will be contacted. In the meantime until the matter is resolved any works carried out by the developer are at their own risk”.
12.1 Parish Hall funding
No response has been received from the Parish Hall regarding pricing for repairs and the Chair was requested to write again requesting information and the matter will be discussed at the March meeting.
12.2 Community Garden and Crossway Park
Cllr Taylor supplied prices obtained for replacement
swings/equipment at the Park and a decision was made that the quotations totaling £8,100 from Sovereign should be accepted. All in favour. It was reported that an Ash tree is to be removed.
12.3 Bus Stop area
It was reported that Mr Blades will be completing some works in the area and that a Rowan tree is to be planted.
12.4 Proposed Waste Disposal Site at Lower Hare Farm
Information has been received that grant approval has now been granted and it seems that the matter will now be closed. The Council discussed the EA permit and are sending in a response.
12.5 Gov.uk domain update
This was discussed and it was agreed that Cllr Stott should contact Jock Kirkpatrick regarding pursuing this matter through the existing contact of the Whitestone Home Page.
12.6 BT Digital Switchover report
This meeting had proved very successful with 29 residents attending
12.7 Assets register
Copies of the existing asset register was distributed to Councillors.
12.8 Grant for Table Tennis Club
An application for funding which had been distributed to the Council was discussed and it was proposed and seconded that a grant of £500.00 was made and a cheque for this amount was signed. (cheque no 786 ).
12.9 EV Points
Cllr Purser raised an issue regarding the installation of an EV point being installed at the garages at the rear of the Parish Hall and will be investigating and report back to the next meeting

A letter has been received regarding the storage of the Whitestone Pantomime costumes in the garages at the rear of the Parish Hall and this will be placed on the March meeting agenda for discussion.
Choked drains in Heath Lane were reported.
Rubbish in the field at Edenfields was reported.
