EDUCATIONAL GRANTS AVAILABLE
Applications are invited for consideration at the next
meeting of the Trustees. The closing date is Tuesday 3rd November 2026
The fund is intended to provide financial assistance to residents of the ancient parish of Whitestone who wish to further their education or training for academic or practical purposes. Funding for leisure activities are not eligible for consideration. There is no restriction on the age of applicants who may apply for a grant. Applications are not means tested.
All applications are assessed in confidence by the Trustees with reference to the provisions of the Trust Deed. Successful grant applications range typically from £50 to £500, depending on particular circumstances, and may include grants towards course fees and materials, books, computers, mandatory uniforms, and travel costs. The Trustees are elected representatives from village organisations who meet twice a year, normally in May and November, and notice is given in advance of the meetings in the Parish Magazine.
Applications need to be fully costed with documentary evidence provided and must be accompanied by a completed data protection form which is available on the Whitestone website*.
